WHEELING, Ill. - Sept. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Those who attend the annual Oktoberfest celebration at Saint Alphonsus Liguori Parish and School say it is the most authentic Oktoberfest celebration in the Northwest Suburbs. There’s good reason for that – the organizers are veteran Munich Oktoberfest attendees.

Oktoberfest 2013 will take place on September 27, at 7 p.m. at Saint Alphonsus Liguori Parish and School, located at 411 N. Wheeling Road in Prospect Heights.

“Being at the Saint Al’s Oktoberfest is the next best thing to being at Oktoberfest in Munich,” Oktoberfest organizer Darrel Talken says. “What makes it so great is the authentic German food, music and atmosphere of Gemütlichkeit.”

On the menu are brats, potato salad, sauerkraut, desserts and, of course, a beer tent featuring imported German beers along with domestic beers.

The popular Paloma Band will perform traditional Oktoberfest music, and the Danube Schwabians will get everyone dancing. Tickets are $20 per person in advance, $25 at the door.

To purchase tickets or for additional information, email oktoberfest@saintalphonsus.com, visit www.saintalphonsus.com/events or call 847-255-7452.
