By: dot-art If demand is high enough. a second ten week series will begin in November, with further courses running throughout the year, (including painting and a range of art taster session to try new skills) subject to interest. Roy has taught life drawing for many years, and his strengths lie in putting participants at ease while simultaneously emphasising the importance of the key skills required, as these comments from participants in previous sessions demonstrate: Lucy Byrne of dot-art Services said: “I am very much looking forward to working with such a fantastic venue as the Bluecoat to launch our new art classes. We work with a wide variety of talented artists, many of whom have extensive teaching experience, so it seemed a natural step for us to provide a platform for them to share their skills and knowledge with the public through a range of accessible and informal courses for all levels.” Emma Smith, Creative Enterprise Manager at the Bluecoat added: “Engaging people in artistic pursuits is at the very heart of what we do at the Bluecoat. Life-drawing has always been a core strand of visual arts practice and we’re extremely happy that dot-art Services can help us to provide an excellent opportunity for experts and novices alike”. Full details and booking information can be found here, with classes starting at just £16 per session: http://www.thebluecoat.org.uk/ End
