NSCS Board of Directors Chair Bill Ziegler Completes Term of Service

Aug. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), a national academic honors organization, announced today that Leonia resident Bill Ziegler will be stepping down from the Board of Directors after reaching the nine year service level cap.

Mr. Ziegler, Managing Director of Global Recruiting Head UBS AG, joined the Board of Directors in 2002.  He went on to become Board Chair in 2009. During his time on the Board he provided exemplary leadership and invaluable guidance through years of growth and change.

Steve Loflin, CEO and Founder of NSCS, said “We have been able to assemble an outstanding Board largely due to Bill’s efforts which will service NSCS well for many years to come.  Bill’s commitment, enthusiasm and leadership have been very important to our growth and evolution as an organization.  We are a better organization because he has been involved.”

All Board members are volunteers who freely give their time on behalf of NSCS because, like Bill, they believe in the organization and what it offers current students.

"Nine years with NSCS went by in a flash.  When you believe as I do in the principles which NSCS stands for including scholarship, leadership, community service and integrity it's easy to work on behalf of an organization and not have it feel like work at all.  I'm proud of what NSCS has accomplished these last years and I'm proud that I could give my time as Board Chair to help make NSCS the #1 provider of undergraduate scholarships among all honor societies in the U.S.  Over the last nine years, we've moved the lifetime membership from about 250,000 to over 800,000 --which positions NSCS for a very bright future.  If your children are invited on the basis of their academic performance to join NSCS please don't hesitate to encourage them to accept the invitation.  NSCS can open many doors," said Ziegler.

Mr. Ziegler has 20 years of HR experience with a specialty in Recruiting developed over the last 15 years. At UBS he has cross group global responsibility for recruiting strategy, policy, process, operations, execution, recruiting service delivery and workforce planning. He is a member of the UBS Global HR Executive Committee.

Mr. Ziegler is also currently on the Board of The George Washington University School of Business.
