Briarcliff High School Students Perform, Make Generous Gift

July 25, 2011 - PRLog -- VALHALLA --For members of “Songs for a Cause” at Briarcliff High School, helping others is music to their ears.  Members of the club recently donated $3,002 to Blythedale Children’s Hospital.  The funds represent the proceeds from the club’s April 29 concert and other fundraisers throughout the 2010-2011 school year.  Graduating senior Joy Li, who plays flute and guitar in the ensemble, has been a volunteer at Blythedale for four years.

“We are so thankful to these students for their generous gift,” said Lena Cavanna, Blythedale’s Director of Community Relations. “It is so heartwarming to see such a bright and talented group dedicate their time and musical gifts to benefit the children of Blythedale.”
