July 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Brighton Publishing LLC announced the signing of renowned author Frederick F. Meyers, Jr. for his latest terrorism-thriller, “The Lazarus Connection,” the third in his Matt Gannon series scheduled for release in early spring 2012.

Frederick Meyers has few peers in his ability to eerily mix knockout action and international intrigue with plots torn from the headlines—and often before they’ve happened.

In this third installment of the acclaimed Matt Gannon series, readers will follow the unstoppable CIA agent as they’ve never seen him before: truly going rogue to stop his nemesis, the terrorist Salal. Through the cavernous mountains of Afghanistan and across the Middle East to the arid reaches of the Sinai Desert, Gannon hunts his quarry knowing that failure will result in the death of all he holds dear.

From hunter to hunted, Matt Gannon is quickly in the crosshairs of not just the deadly Salal, but of also the Taliban and Al Qaeda. And, as Frederick Meyers’ fans have long-awaited, Gannon and Salal ultimately find themselves on a collision course where only one can survive.

“Frederick Meyers has delivered a taut, fast-paced thriller with unrelenting action, unpredictable plot twists, and a masterful fight between good and evil that readers will love,” said Kathie McGuire, director of Brighton Publishing LLC.  “Combine Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan with David Morrell’s John Rambo and you get an idea of the caliber—literally—of what Frederick Meyers has written.”

Frederick F. “Bud” Meyers, Jr. is a native of Pittsburgh, and a past holder of the Army Chair at the National Defense University, and is a graduate and former teacher at the prestigious Army War College.  His military service has taken him all over the world, from Vietnam to Germany to Egypt and the Middle East, and from these experiences he has drawn much inspiration for his novels.  His two previous novels, “The Jericho Gambit” and “Cry Judas”, both feature Matt Gannon as the lead character. He resides with his wife, Donna, and son, Matthew, on the Space Coast in Florida.
