Breaking News: Expert Gives Solid Reasons Why Casey Anthony Is Innocent

July 7, 2011 - PRLog -- The College of Mental Health Counseling has reviewed the details of the Casey Anthony trial and has reached clear conclusions regarding her innocence.

The emotional shifts during the trial show an inability to hide her inner thoughts and feelings. She does not display the cunning and cleverness characteristic of a psychopath. If she was cunning and clever, she could have found other ways to leave the child in order to pursue the wild life. Killing the child would be an unnecessary and an unwise choice as it would place her own freedom in serious jeopardy.

The videos of Casey with the child show a loving, affectionate mother and a strong mother-child bond. In the view of Daniel Keeran, MSW, President of the College, Casey is incapable to having committed the murder of this adorable child who loved her mother.  Psychopaths do not accept parental responsibility.

She does however, display a shallowness, transparency, and instability that would be easy to exploit by the prosecution on the witness stand.

Her partying and even lying to authorities about a nanny after the death of the child can easily be understood as a reaction formation or denial defense characteristic of experiencing the strong emotions of grief after the sudden death of a child.

Reaction formation is a “defensive process (defense mechanism) in which anxiety-producing or unacceptable emotions and impulses are mastered by exaggeration (hypertrophy) of the directly opposing tendency” (See ‘Reaction Formation’ in Wikipedia.)

If as many believe, she was a self-centered and selfish woman who wanted the child dead so that she could live the party-animal life, there would have been at least a careless slip to someone during a drinking party in the month following the death of the child.

Following the tragic death of the child, another tragedy may be the abuse or even death of Casey Anthony. On her release, she needs support and protection, not condemnation.
