UK Energy Saving Leader Makes Right Acquisition

July 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Mark Group, the UK’s largest energy saving installation business with a heritage spanning almost four decades, has today announced its acquisition of New Zealand-based, Right House from Meridian Energy.

The addition of the ‘whole house’ energy saving business to Mark Group’s portfolio is the first made by the business in its 36 year history. It follows Mark Group’s successful organic international growth into Australia and North America in 2009 and 2010 respectively.

Founded in 2007 as a subsidiary of New Zealand’s largest electricity generator, Meridian Energy, Right House has established itself as a popular and successful brand amongst its local market place.  Now, as part of the Mark Group family, Right House will retain its own identity whilst playing a pivotal role in furthering the Group’s development on the global energy efficiency stage.

Through the acquisition, all of Right House’s employees and operational bases will be retained and Hamish Sisson will remain as Chief Executive Officer. The acquisition takes Mark Group’s operational bases to 25 and employee count to over 1,500 worldwide. Right House has a sales forecast of over $20million NZD for the current financial year.
