March 9, 2012 - PRLog -- International energy saving business, Mark Group is working in partnership with Weber Saint-Gobain at this year’s Ideal Home Show (Earl’s Court, London – 16th March to 1st April) to introduce visitors to a little known form of wall insulation, with the widely acclaimed Prince’s Arts & Crafts House as its show home.

Typically, homes built before 1920 are not suitable for the popular cavity wall insulation. Instead, homeowners may be able to have the outside walls of their property insulated, with ‘External Wall Insulation’ to keep the winter chills at bay, reduce their heating bills, care for the environment and refresh the external appearance of their home.

At this year’s Show, Mark Group has installed Weber Saint-Gobain’s External Wall Insulation product on the Prince’s Arts & Crafts House; one of three life size homes being constructed within the Earl’s Court exhibition area, as part of the Show Home Village. Designed by The Prince’s Foundation, the Prince’s Arts & Crafts House is a revolutionary, low carbon eco-home built using the highest quality of materials and craftsmanship. It provides a stylish comfortable and affordable low carbon alternative to some of the more complex designs being built today and demonstrates how a sustainable approach to homes and gardens can benefit local communities.

After viewing the House, visitors can call in at the Mark Group/Weber Saint-Gobain stand where further examples of homes insulated with External Wall Insulation are provided, together with an installation timelapse show reel and an introduction to thermal imaging of properties, through partner, HeatSeekers.

Dave Sherlock, Mark Group External Wall Insulation specialist, said: “Most homeowners are aware of the benefits of insulating their property but there is very little understanding of the options available if cavity wall insulation isn’t suitable. We are proud to have the association with the Prince’s Arts & Crafts House at this year’s Show and to be able to showcase Mark Group alongside it, helping homeowners to see first-hand what External Wall Insulation looks like and then come and talk to us about what we might be able to do for their home.”

Hank Dittmar, Chief Executive of The prince’s Foundation, said: “We are excited to be bringing the second variation of The Prince’s House to the Ideal Home Show this year. We hope that The Prince’s Arts & Crafts House will encourage people to understand that sustainable homes can be both beautiful and comfortable.”

Mark Group will have a team of External Wall Insulation experts available for advice and information throughout the Show on Stand 1K97. Further details can be found at http://www.markgroup.co.uk or by calling 0800 616 302.
