June 28, 2011 - PRLog -- One of the most prominent names in the field of Neurosurgery, Dr. Abhilash Bansal is now a full time Consultant Neurosurgeon with Wockhardt Hospitals.

After finishing his MBBS in 2001 from Government College-Amritsar, Dr. Bansal went on to complete his DNB (Neurosurgery) in 2003 from Manipal Hospital-Bangalore. Dr. Bansal had been associated with various hospitals of repute across the country. In his previous assignment, he was Neurosurgeon at one of India’s leading hospital.

A veteran of 3000 neurosurgeries, Dr. Bansal holds the distinction of being the first surgeon to perform ‘Microdialysis of the Brain’ in India. Having practiced with the latest technology in the field of Neurosurgery, his areas of medical expertise cover the entire spectrum of neurosurgery such as Neuro-Navigation, Neuro-Intensive Care, Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring, Microdialysis of the Brain & Stem Cell Therapy of Neurological Conditions.

On the academic front, Dr. Bansal has initiated and conducted various educational programs  and CMEs . He has also been active in academic circles and paper publications.Dr. Bansal papers on topics such as Unilateral Autologous Bone Marrow, White Cerebellum Sign have been acknowledged at various national & international forums.
