Leaders in Their Industry: Orion's Community Involvement Leads to Local Spotlight

It is crucial for Web Designers and Internet Marketing Professionals in the Web Design and Web Development business to stay knowledgeable and informed on the constantly changing web trends.

An integral part of success is being a part of the community in which you do business, and the Orion team has been involved in the community as active members since its start and make it an effort to attend and host as many industry related events as possible.

Orion has been a long time member of  Milwaukee NARI, a chapter of NARI, which is a home improvement council aimed to promote remodeling, for over ten years.

Orion was responsible for maintaining the Milwaukee NARI website from 1998 until 2010, donating many hours of work for the association and helping them build a platform for success online. Because of their heavy involvement, they have built many successful business relationships because of it serving many Milwaukee and Wauskesha home builders and contractors.

Bill Knoernschild, owner of Orion Group, has been a Milwaukee/NARI member since 1996. He served on the marketing committee for more than ten years.

Bill, who will also be featured in the member spotlight section on Milwaukee NARI’s upcoming newsletter next month, says:

“I attend monthly member meetings to network with other NARI members. I try to be of assistance wherever I can because I enjoy helping fellow members achieve a stronger internet presence.”

The Orion Group, a division of Orion Web, are active members of the Milwaukee Interactive Marketing Association (MIMA) and attend many internet marketing events that are hosted on a monthly basis.

Last month, the Orion team attended a link building event hosted by one of Milwaukee’s many internet marketing professionals. The topic of the meeting covered how to build effective link building strategies for websites.

Aside from attending community events, many of their team members at Orion host their own community meetups that cover a variety of web design and internet marketing topics.

Scott Offord, the director of Internet marketing at Orion Group, hosts two meetups every month; Milwaukee WordPress Meetup, and Waukesha Internet Marketing Meetup. Joel Clermont, partner and web designer at Orion, also hosts a monthly meetup, Milwaukee PHP Users Group.
