Dunwoody United Methodist Church's “Mission Monday” to Benefit Military in June
Dunwoody UMC will collect personal care products, notes of appreciation, and other small items throughout June to benefit American troops serving overseas.
Help with “Mission Monday” for the Military
Volunteers may help with the mission project for American servicemen and women by donating funds, shopping for requested items, or helping pack donations for shipping.
Personal care items that are needed include shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, sun block, body lotion, dental floss, female items, wipes, Chapstick, and eye drops. Donations of gum, non-chocolate candy, magazines, paperback books, CDs, DVDs, boot inserts, small Ziplock bags, and cotton socks are also requested. Notes to thank American military personnel for their service are appreciated
Collection bins are located on the first floor of Dunwoody UMC, in the area between the Nursery Desk and the Young Adult Suite. Volunteers will pack the boxes for the soldiers on July 11.
How to Request Donations for Overseas Military Personnel
If you have the address of a family member or friend serving overseas in the U.S. military, please send the information to the Director of Family Ministries, Diane Morgan, at diane.morgan@
