New Ways for Home Health to Assess the Competition and Hone Marketing Messages

The Brazzell Report enables home health agencies and their consultants to specify a service area and then receive a report on every Medicare certified home health care agency located in that service area.

It is updated to provide data from the latest complete set of cost reports.  The Brazzell Report enables home health agencies and their consultants to specify a service area and then receive a report on every Medicare certified home health care agency located in that service area.

Agencies will be able to compare the number of visits they provide per episode to the same data for local home health competitors.  This feature is also broken down by discipline (skilled nursing, physical therapy, home health aides, etc.)
Agencies will be able to see the exact amount each agency charged to Medicare.
Agencies will know number of episodes, outliers, LUPAs, and PEPs submitted by other agencies in the specified market.

The new Brazzell Report provides the most current cost report data on:
Each agency's Medicare census
Each agency's total census

Clearer Contact Information for each Agency: The last generation Brazzell Report showed agency contact information directly off the cost report. In a handful of cases, this made the report confusing when one address in the requested area was the owner of multiple far-flung agencies. The current generation of this report cross referenced home health provider numbers with Home Health Compare addresses and contact information to make sure the names and locations displayed for each agency make sense.

Better County Searches: The last generation Brazzell Report used an answer in the cost reports to determine what county each agency was in. Unfortunately, when completing their Medicare cost reports, a small percentage of home health agencies interpreted this question differently and tried to report their whole service area in this field. This resulted in a handful or reports requiring edits at the client's request to add agencies that were missed. In the current generation Brazzell Report, Brazzell Marketing Agency has cross referenced the zip code in the address shown by Home Health Compare with US Census Bureau data to determine the county location for each agency. This has resulted in clearer, more consistent location information for each agency.
