May 3, 2011 - PRLog -- KNOXVILLE, TN – Voices Heard Media announced exciting improvements to its EventBox technology that will enhance the social media frenzy on live events while providing administrators more control.

The EventBox is an embeddable tool that sparks engagement and builds communities on our clients’ sites and across their mobile and social platforms.  Users get so excited about the ability to engage that they invite friends from social networks to engage and support their efforts, rapidly increasing unique visitors and page views.

To enhance the user experience and administrative control of live events, VHM created “Instant Gratification for a Moderated Event” or “IG Me!”. IG Me! allows visitors to enter their question and see it on the screen instantly as if it was unmoderated, even though the comment is actually in the moderation queue and withheld from other visitors’ views until approved.

“Our clients have found that visitors hate being moderated, and their activity slows when they are moderated, especially during a live event,” explained Will Overstreet, CEO of Voices Heard Media. “Yet, clients still want total control over which messages get approved and posted. So we created IG Me! to keep the social media fenzy going in a controlled environment.”

Second, VHM gave administrators the power to prioritize comments so that pre-populated questions created by administrators are featured. The new feature allows administrators to drive and feature key messages and approved comments.

Third, the reduced login requirements on the EventBox reduce obstacles to visitor participation, so users engage more freely and frequently. Administrators are empowered to ask for information of their choice, such as first name, age and state, via the EventBox control panel – a task which takes only seconds.

The fourth enhancement allows publishers to stream users’ questions during a live event to create the excitement of massive and constant participation, which encourages even greater interaction. The system staggers the release of new entries and moderated approvals every few seconds, so administrators can approve a slew of comments and go home while the system releases them over time to create an appearance of continuous activity.

The final enhancement to the EventBox allows any event to have two modes of activity – “open” for question submission and “live” for the actual Q&A session. When live, the system streams new comments in timed amounts to show a continuous stream of entries – maintaining a consistent and high-level of energy. In the open mode, users are free to submit questions at their convenience.  After the live portion has concluded, the open mode also allows users to rate and comment on other users’ questions, view answers, and share with friends; thereby, extending the conversation and the life and value of the content for days or weeks. Additionally, the EventBox correlates similar answers and prioritizes the entries according to the most popular – a useful feature for administrators to quickly identify the top comments.

“Only the EventBox provides total moderation control over live events while making the user feel instantly engaged,” said Overstreet. “It makes for a great experience and our brand-name clients love it!”
