| ![]() SISA's PCI Seminar at DhakaSISA has conducted a PCI Awareness Seminar at Dhaka on 18 April, 2011. The seminar was attended by professionals from all the banks operating in Bangladesh. Experts from VISA and SISA handled different sessions in the seminar.

Narayanan, a veteran in the field of Information security having more than 15 years experience in the field, spoke about the PCI DSS requirements, the intent of these requirements and the resultant Brand Equity an organization can build by being PCI Compliant. His session included live examples from the industry about different challenges the organization may come across on the way to compliance and how to overcome these challenges successfully. In essence he covered the why, what, how and when of the PCI DSS standard. He is currently working as Senior Consultant with SISA Information Security. Mr .S.A. Raveendrun and Mr Neil Fernandez represented VISA. Mr S.A. Raveendhrun spoke about the PCI DSS mandates laid out by VISA under the AIS program for PCI DSS compliance for the various types of Visa Net Processors being POS and/or ATM Acquirers and Issuers. The post lunch session was an elaborative panel discussion on PCI DSS by the experts from VISA and SISA. Mr Renju Varghese, Principal Consultant at SISA was the moderator for this session. The panel consisted of Mr.S.A Raveendrun, Mr Neil Fernandez and Mr.P.K Narayanan. During the panel discussion several questions were raised and clarified about the technicalities of the standard, the relationship with other security standards, the scoping, the cost and time frames. The panel discussion was followed by a Networking High Tea, where the participants got an opportunity to interact with the experts from VISA and SISA to clarify their doubts about PCI DSS Compliance. Mr Nitin Bhatnagar, (Global Head - Marketing and Business Development) The Seminar included 74 participants from organizations like AB Bank, Bank Asia, BRAC Bank, Cashlink, Dhaka Bank, IFIC Bank, Islami Bank, Mutual Trust Bank, NCC Bank, National Bank, Prime Bank, Shahjalal Islami Bank, Social Islami Bank, South East Bank, SSL Wireless, Citi Bank, The Premier Bank, Trust Bank, United Commercial Bank, Mercantile Bank, EBL, ITCBD, Exim Bank, Dutch Bangla Bank and Pi Labs.
