Alligood and Thomson, of Xenium HR, Earn Runner-up Honors in ‘HR Leadership Awards’

April 25, 2011 - PRLog -- On the morning of Friday, April 1st, the Portland Business Journal held its first ever ‘HR Leadership Awards’ ceremony. Nominations were divided amongst small, medium and large companies in Oregon. Tana Thomson and Suzi Alligood, of Xenium, were among those selected as runners-up to the award winners.

The nominations were collected for individual leaders based on successfully executing organizational strategy, developing individual employees, finding solutions for major challenges and serving as a role model for the organization.

The Xenium nomination to the ‘HR Leadership Awards’ was unique among the pool of nominations; both Thomson and Alligood job-share a leadership role in the organization, leading a team of human resource professionals.

When asked about Thomson and Alligood, Xenium President Anne Donovan stated, “Both Tana and Suzi were outstanding performers in their individual HR Account Manager positions, and when they wanted to have better work-life balance after having children, Xenium created a successful job share role and ultimately promoted them into the leadership role for their department. Without these practices in place, Xenium may not have been able to retain these key individuals.”
