April 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Pridgen v. RAB Communications, a lawsuit involving allegations of unpaid overtime wages and violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the New Jersey Wage and Hour Law (NJWHL), has been filed in a collective action in federal court in New Jersey. The Plaintiffs in this action, represented by Andrew Frisch of Morgan & Morgan, are Technicians who claim that they did not receive proper compensation for overtime hours worked.

Pridgen v. RAB Commnications, Inc., et al. (Case Number: 2:11-cv-02255-FSH-PS) was filed on April 21, 2011, in the District of New Jersey. The presiding judge is Judge Faith S. Hochberg.

In this collective/class action lawsuit, the Technicians allege that RAB Communications, violated the FLSA and the NJWHL by failing to compensate them for overtime hours. The Technicians were responsible for installing various cable products (boxes, modems, etc.) in the homes of customers of cable companies with whom RABCOM had contracts.  Although they regularly worked over forty hours per week, the Defendant did not properly compensate them for those hours. Instead, they were paid only piece rates, regardless of the amount of hours they worked.

Morgan & Morgan overtime attorneys Andrew R. Frisch is representing the Technicians in an effort to recover unpaid wages for the overtime work they performed, but for which they did not receive the proper overtime pay. According to a federal law known as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), non-exempt employees are entitled to time-and-a-half for all hours worked over forty in a given workweek. Significantly, many of RAB Communications' competitors have previously been sued over similar practices.

All Technicians who worked for RAB Communications, within the last three (3) years and whom worked over forty hours in at least one week are eligible to join the case.
