Legacy Preston International Hotel appoints new general managerA hotel manager with more than 20 years’ experience in the industry is looking forward to playing a major role in the long-term future of a popular Preston hotel.
The 40-year-old has been building his management experience at Legacy Hotels & Resorts venues across the UK over the last three years. He joined the Legacy group following a six-year spell managing The Rutland Hotel and four years as operations manager at The Beauchief Hotel in his home city of Sheffield. Philip said: “This is a fantastic opportunity at a really good hotel based in the heart of Preston. “There is a really great team in place here, the majority of which have been with the hotel since the opening in 2008 and this demonstrates what a nice environment and atmosphere there is here. “The hotel has a really great offering for both business and leisure travellers, including perks like free car parking and free Wi-Fi internet access for all our guests, and I’m looking forward to playing a major role in building on the success it has enjoyed over the last few years.” Philip, who has worked in the hotel industry since the age of 18, is leading a team of around of 45 at the 75-bedroom hotel.
