Hidden Impressions in Rainer Stark's Artwork at Agora GalleryRainer Stark is a contemporary artist who is inspired by nature as opposed to the world of humans. Within his pictures, moulds, lines and colours are combined to create a unique intensity and to evoke emotions and new life perceptions.
By: Agora Gallery About the Artist Rainer Maria Stark’s photography monumentalizes the ephemeral impression. With immaculate composition these 24 x 47” giclee prints on canvas capture humanity faced with the sublimity of nature, chaos, conflict and impermanence. Each print translates a sensual encounter with a distinct natural environment, and wonderfully aestheticizes the interplay of physical, social, psychic and emotional variables that meet at the juncture of time and space. Light, color, texture and emotion work in tandem; reality is eclipsed by the poetry of Rainer’s camera in meditation. These powerful images confront the transience of man in the mirror of nature. Mining binaries such as the solid and liquid, the ephemeral and eternal, the fragile and stable, a profound sense of wonder and transformation imbues the work. Rainer Maria Stark was born in 1958. Both fine artist and commercial photographer, Stark is a pioneer of new media and digital printing techniques. The artist currently lives and works in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
