New Health Lecture Series Offers Cutting-Edge Answers

March 31, 2011 - PRLog -- Stamford, CT - Henry C. Sobo, MD announces the first in a series of cutting-edge health lectures to begin April 27th at his office on 111 High Ridge Road in Stamford.

Entitled: “Timely Topics in Natural Health” this free educational series is presented by Dr. Sobo, a Doctor of Internal Medicine practicing Holistic/Alternative medicine, to educate and enlighten the public about compelling, up-to-the-minute medical issues.  

April’s lecture, “Body Detoxification and Acid Alkaline Balance” begins at 7 pm.  Participants will learn about the importance and necessity of body detoxification and nutritional cleansing for health and longevity.
 
“The effect of body chemistry on a person’s current health and on disease prevention and longevity is not even considered in conventional, mainstream medicine at all,” says Dr. Sobo.  

He hopes his initial April talk will enlighten participants as to just how important it is to maintain a proper acid/alkaline balance in the body, while simultaneously educating on how to manage and monitor their own body chemistry.  
 
“I really want to empower people who may be looking for answers,” explains Dr.Sobo.  “Maybe someone is ‘healthy’ but doesn’t feel well, or maybe they’re suffering from some level of illness for which they’ve found no solution.”  

Each monthly lecture will include a Q & A session where Dr. Sobo will take participant questions and try to help people with answers to specific health issues they may be facing.

Dr. Sobo is a medical doctor with an alternative approach to health.  He believes that utilizing the best of both medical and nutritional approaches to medical care is more effective than either approach alone.  Whenever possible he focuses on natural treatments as a way to help patients avoid the use of symptom suppressing medications and their risks and side effects.

“With this lecture series I am trying to give the community the benefits of my time and expertise to help promote important ideas as to how people can be healthy and prevent disease through natural remedies, rather than through drug therapies,” he says.
 
April’s lecture will be followed by lectures on May 25 and June 22, with topics to be announced.
