March 30, 2011 - PRLog -- 5 Simple Steps to Inspect for Bed Bugs

*CAUTION* - While this information is very helpful, it does not guarantee that you don't have the pest.  Visual inspections, even by pest control experts, are often very unreliable.  The best method to find this pest is using a trained and certified canine team.  For more information contact www.inspectorhound.com or call 504-616-3800 to find a canine team in your area.

Step 1:  Carefully remove all linens from the mattress and box spring
Step 2:  Visually look for bed bugs and/or feces on the white seams or ribbon along the edge of the mattress.
Step 3:  Gently lift the mattress and box spring so that the underside of the box spring is exposed.   Be careful when doing this so you don't fling or spread the pest further.
Step 4:  Inspect the seam where the dust cover is stapled to the wood along the bottom of the box spring.
Step 5:  If nothing is found or further investigation is needed contact Inspector Hound at 504-616-3800 for inspection.  Most residential inspections are $150 or less and will save you countless hours of frustration and headache.
