March 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Success in the Arts, Inc. will bring leaders and experts in the entertainment industry to Queens, NY for the 1st Annual Success in the Arts Entertainment Seminar on April 16, 2011 to see what it takes to make it in front of the camera or stage as well as the inner workings behind the scenes.  Invited panelists will break down the business of show and offer a rare look inside the inner workings of the industry and what it takes to be competitive in each discipline.  The Success in the Arts Conference is designed to give attendees an opportunity to dialogue one on one and in a group setting to learn the personal journeys of each panelist and workshop moderator to serve as a road map to success.

Celebrity panelist actress, and author Kim Wayans and HBO, The Wire’s, Julito McCullum kick off the day’s events.  Established Industry leaders, Lancelott Theobald Jr., Creator, Choreographer and Director, Linda Jones Prince, Gospel Recording Artist, Fulton Hodges, Director, Producer, Playwright and Audelco Award winner, William Michael Reid, Fashion Publicist & Entertainment Manager, Stephanie Fisher Oplacio, Assistant Minister of Music, Teacher and Director-Greater Allen Cathedral, Lawrence Saint Victor, Actor and Producer, Audrey Taylor, Evangelist; Endure for Christ Ministries Inc., Aaron Marcus, America's Premier Acting/Modeling Career Coach and Author and Lecturer, Linda Thornberg, Co-Owner and Founder, Connecticut Kids—Kids, Teen and Young Adult Casting Agency will offer their expertise and insight on the various panels and workshops.

The workshops will give the attendees an understanding on how they can best use their talents to land the job and apply this knowledge to establish long and prosperous careers now and after the final curtain. Topics include: Dancing With the Heart, Singing: The Gift of Song, The Power in the Voice, Breaking into Acting, the Essence of Acting, Work the Runway and Walk This Way.

Proceeds from the seminar will be donated to Metro Spec, a nonprofit corporation whose mission is to build strong communities, improve the quality of life, and bring about change to economically disadvantaged families by providing child care, education, and employment preparation.
