March 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Fastpoint Games, a leading developer of games for sports and entertainment properties, today announced that it has delivered two games for its latest partner, Major League Soccer. The pair of games, a 2011 Salary Cap Game and a League Manager Game, are key assets in the ever expanding digital strategy for MLS as it looks to grow its footprint and find more ways to engage its fast-evolving global fanbase.  The two games are now available on MLSsoccer.com.

“We are very pleased to be able to deliver these two new games for MLS, one of the hottest properties in the sports landscape,” said Fast Point CEO Kelly Perdew. “As we have seen in other areas of the world, soccer is fast becoming a key player in the fantasy sports space, and launching these two games will give MLS a great opportunity to engage fans in fun and entertaining ways online and give people even more reason to learn and follow their favorite players throughout the season.”

In the Salary Cap game, users select a roster of MLS players using a set “salary cap.” They score points for on-field performance of athletes, and compete in global leagues or create their own private or public leagues to compete against friends. The game will have cash competitions run regularly and users can win real money. The League Manager will be the first-ever “draft & trade” style game for MLS. Users enter leagues and run online, offline or automated drafts to build a team of MLS players. The league settings are highly customizable for commissioners, and throughout the season, users can trade players and manage their team regularly to score points for on-field performance. The league will promote the games through all their social media platforms as well as across all their digital assets.

The partnership with Major league Soccer is the latest in a series of moves for Fastpoint, which continues to prove itself as one of the most innovative, cost-efficient and effective builders of quality games for sports entities and entertainment properties around the world.
