Wilkus Selected as Project Architect for Crosby Ironton Area Water Systems Improvement Project

March 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Wilkus Architects is proud to be part of an integrated design team providing design services for the new Water Treatment Facility in Crosby, Minnesota.  Bolton and Menk, Inc., a prominent environmental engineering firm, leads a comprehensive team that includes Wilkus as the project architect.  The new two story 12,600 square foot facility sheathed in multi-colored brick is situated adjacent to the Hallett Community Center.   The 500 gallon per minute operating capacity will upgrade the city’s services for residential, commercial and industrial uses well into the future.  The existing water plant on the shore of Serpent Lake is being demolished and in its place a new 400 square foot meter/power building incorporating a 500 square foot covered picnic pavilion for community use will improve the park like atmosphere.  Construction is underway and the new facility is scheduled to be substantially complete in August of 2011.  The General Contractor is Deerwood, MN based Rice Lake Construction Group.
