Group Boosts Member Businesses By Average £10000

Ten members of a local networking organisation have received business worth more than £130000 between them from their fellow members in the last year.

Members of BNI Network North Staffordshire, which meets at the Premier Inn, Trentham Gardens every Wednesday, passed almost 1500 referrals in 2010, according to recent figures. Thirteen of the group’s 30 members received at least one referral per meeting.

However, ten of them did particularly well, receiving a combined total of £130097 worth of business.

Top of the list was will writer and probate consultant David Raybould, who generated £27000 from his referrals. But a variety of businesses, including a photographer, a dance instructor, a mechanic, and a solicitor also benefitted.

Chapter Director Steve Parker said: “The figures are fantastic and prove membership of our group benefits all kinds of businesses, regardless of whether they want business from consumers or other businesses.

“And it also shows referrals are spread evenly between us, rather than concentrated with a handful of members.”

Alongside David, the most successful members are business coach Ian Nicklin (ActionCoach), who generated £24000; management consultant Wayne Pearce (Eaglet UK), £19000; and singer Julie Gater, with £14000.

Mechanic Dec Roberts (DR Mobile Mechanics) picked up £12335; charity fundraiser Ray Elks (Arch North Staffordshire), received £10000; and solicitor Amy Walklate (Woolliscrofts Solicitors) £8500.

Completing the top ten are dance instructor Kate Beauchamp (Groove Academy); photographer Steve Parker (A1Fotograffix); and blinds manufacturer Julian Lewis (Direct Blinds).

BNI Network North Staffordshire meets every Wednesday morning (6.45-8.30). On average, 32 referrals – which are qualified opportunities for business – are passed at each meeting.
