OSS-Cube participates in Drupal Unconference-Conference

Most conferences involve a pre-defined set of paid or sponsored participants who have come together under one roof to discuss issues based on a fixed agenda but what happens when a conference has no fixed agenda.

Jan. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- After the extremely successful Drupal 7 release in the first week of January; members of the OSSCube family participated in the ‘Drupal unconference-conference’ that is one of the most keenly awaited events by members of the Open Source Community. The term ‘unconference-conference’ may be confusing for some but it actually refers to a brand new approach towards peer-to-peer interactions in the open source community. The best part about this conference was that it was open to everyone who wanted to share his knowledge about Drupal or other technologies/languages that integrated with Drupal. Participants at the event shared best practices in the web development industry, security concerns, case studies and experimental modules. By sharing information and best practices, all participants at the conference gained a lot of insights about Open Source technologies and are now eagerly awaiting the next edition of the show.

At the ‘Drupal unconference-conference’ the talking point was Drupal 7 release, a friendly and powerful content management platform for building nearly any type of blog, website, micro-site or community portals. The kind of flexibility, scalability, accessibility and ease of use offered by Drupal 7 is simply unmatched. No other CMS comes close to Drupal when it comes to building high quality websites and applications. What’s more Drupal community consists of a vast majority of Drupal developers who constantly work hard to improve Drupal modules, themes and distributions.

The latest edition of Drupal offers its users a completely revamped administrative interface that helps site builders and content editors to edit the content on a daily basis. They can define their own content structure, add custom fields to content, user comments and increase the depth of their site by adding any of the 800 modules already developed for Drupal 7.

Webmasters who are using Drupal 7 for the first time will find that their websites load much faster, respond more quickly to user requests and can handle a much higher volume of traffic thanks to improved Javascript and CSS optimization. The latest version of Drupal 7 provides improved database support with support for SQlite, My SQL/MariaDB   and Post greSQL. Moreover, a new automated testing framework with over 30,000 built-in tests allows for continuous integration testing of all Drupal core patches and contributed modules. The latest version of Drupal released by Drupal Cube has been very well received by the Open Source community and the company expects to create a profitable niche for itself in a highly competitive market through this simple, yet very powerful tool.
