Kirchman Construction's VP Wins Full Term on Regional Association's Board of Directors

Jan. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- Stuart, FL ---- Ronnie Kirchman, II, vice president of Kirchman Construction Co. has been elected to a full term on the Board of Directors of the Treasure Coast Builders Association (TCBA). He will serve in that position for the four-county organization until October, 2012. He was appointed last year to a vacancy on the TCBA’s board last year to complete an unexpired term.

Kirchman is a second-generation state certified general contractor who serves as the firm’s senior project manager as well as its vice president.

The TCBA represents more than 500 companies in Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee Counties. About a third of the firms are builders per se. The other 2/3 are a diverse group of tradespeople, vendors and suppliers who range from plumbers, electricians and landscapers to attorneys, interior decorators and architects.

Kirchman earned his Bachelor of Construction degree from the University of Florida, but literally grew up in the business. Already on the job when he was 10 years old, as a carpenter’s helper, he worked his way up through the ranks, as a carpenter, estimator, and project manager. He has been vice president of the family firm since 1990.

A native of South Florida, Kirchman lives in Palm City with his wife and three daughters, in a home that he built himself. In addition to his activities with the TCBA, he belongs to the Palm City Chamber of Commerce, the Stuart-Martin County Chamber of Commerce, and is an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
