PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - July 26, 2014 - PRLog -- Circuit judge candidate Steve Ziskinder has received the endorsement of the Port St. Lucie Police Officers Association, Local 6015 of the International Union of Police Associations (IUPA), which represents the 220-plus sworn officers of the City of Port St. Lucie Police Department.

In a letter to Ziskinder informing him of the endorsement, PSLPOA president Scott Johnson said, “Your professionalism and dedication to our officers and members has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated.”

Ziskinder has served as a legal advisor to the PSLPOA and has represented several Port St. Lucie police officers.

An attorney who began his career as a state prosecutor in St. Lucie County in 1988, and has been in private practice as a trial lawyer since 1991, Ziskinder is running for the Group 4 seat in the 19th Circuit. That seat is being vacated by Judge Dwight Geiger, who retires at the end of this year. The circuit covers all of St. Lucie, Martin, Indian River and Okeechobee counties.

Ziskinder is the owner of The Boston House, a historic national landmark building next to the St. Lucie County Courthouse, where his office is located. He is married to attorney Melinda Plummer Ziskinder. They have three sons and live in Palm City.

The primary election will be held on August 26th.
