Score6 reveals overall ad-effectiveness for eSN advertisers

Reader survey gives an in-depth look at the effectiveness of ad design and message

Jan. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Bethesda, Md. — A recently concluded study sponsored by eSchool News, the leading ed-tech news resource for K-20 educators, revealed valuable results to the publication’s advertisers.

The Score6 survey study, conducted by independent research firm Litchfield Research, obtained reader feedback on critical attributes of the design, message and overall effectiveness of advertisements in the November/December issue of eSchool News.

Twenty-one advertisements were evaluated by nearly 400 of the publication’s readers. Participants were asked to rate a set of 10 ad images by message elements, design elements and overall effectiveness.

The study also drilled into the publication’s reader demographics: Titles ranged from teacher to Chief Technology Officer. A plurality of respondents (39 percent) work at the K-12 building level, while the next largest group work at the K-12 District level. The balance work in a variety of education settings, including state and federal agencies and colleges and universities.

The winning advertisers were divided by research category, product category, and overall highest score. Here are highlights of the results:
