Follow on Google News | ![]() NJMET Announces Extension of Its Anuual Toy Drive to Benefit the Salvation Army of Newburgh, NYNJMET VP Joseph Federico announced that NJMET will extend its annual holiday toy drive to benefit the Salvation Army of Newburgh NY, whose toys were stolen earlier this week. Donations will be accepted at the NJMET heaquarters for 2 more weeks.
By: Joseph Federico Joseph Federico learned of the crime from http://newyork.cbslocal.com on Monday and decided to extend the NJMET toy drive to help replace the stolen toys. “You think you’re really stealing from us, but you’re really stealing from your neighbors, somebody, who can really use the help,” Salvation Army Lt. Sheila Gage told CBS 2’s John Metaxas. CBS reported that Lt. Rohan Gage said the thief made off with about a third of the total gifts the Salvation Army will make in Newburgh this holiday. The gifts were piled in an office at the Salvation Army headquarters in Newburgh. A receptionist was sitting in the office, but she had gotten up for a quick break. In that time somebody came in and took all of the gifts from the office. NJMET Customer Relations Representative Ruth Vitale has helped launch an immediate toy drive in Clifton NJ which will be extended for two weeks into the New Year as relief effort to help the Salvation Army said NJMET Vice President Joseph Federico a Wayne, NJ resident.
