The First Line Second Edition: It Was Cute Until

Dec. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- The contest, in its second run, is aimed at encouraging young writers to submit short stories beginning with the first line:  "It was cute until."  The entries spanned multiple genres, from science fiction to romance.  All stories were judged by an independent panel of adults who based their selections on entertainment value and willingness to read more from the author.

All Booked Up and Peak City Publishing have co-sponsored this free contest to encourage young writers to express their creativity, use their writing skills to develop interesting stories and become published authors.  Not only do these aspiring writers get a chance to compete with other talented writers in their age group, they are also able to brag on their college applications of being published!  

All participants will have their pictures and biographies published in the book.  The titles to be published in the second edition of The First Line:
