Durham Author and Master Story Teller, Donna Washington to Perform in Apex

Donna Washington, Master Storyteller, author and celebrity among adults and children-alike, will be performing at The Halle Cultural Arts Center in Apex, NC on Dec. 18th, 2010.

Dec. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Donna Washington is a Durham, North Carolina performer and award winning children’s book author.  Along with many recorded CDs, and performances delivered all over the nation, Ms. Washington is well-renowned for her entertaining and educational books featuring the rich culture and history of Africa.  Her books include A Pride of African Tales, (Harper Collins, 2003) a treasury of African Folklore,  The Story of Kwanza, (Harper Collins, 1997) and her latest release:  Lil' Rabbit's Kwanza (Harper Collins, 2010).  


Donna Washington will be performing and signing books at The Halle Cultural Arts Center, located at 237 N. Salem Street in downtown, Apex.  The doors will open at 11AM for a reception sponsored by the Eva Perry Library.   The performance will begin shortly thereafter, followed by a book and CD signing in the reception area.


The event, sponsored by All Booked Up, The Halle Cultural Arts Center and the Eva Perry Library is free and open to the public.
