RICS President Supports Reduce Radon Message at East of England Event

Robert Peto, President of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors supported the Radon Tee World Trek at a recent event for members in the East of England region.
 
Nov. 26, 2010 - PRLog -- The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) East of England branch held their annual CPD Conference on 18th November. The conference, held at University of Cambridge’s Robinson College, included nine separate workshops for delegates covering a wide variety of topics designed to appeal to surveyors involved in the fields of Land, Property and Built Environment. One of these workshops was on the subject of radon gas and the increasing importance for professionals to be aware of the risks of radon and to be able to advise their clients suitably.

RICS President, Robert Peto was also at the event and gave an enthralling talk on a range of topical issues, including the importance of property to the economy.

Mr Peto and Luay Al-Khatib, RICS Special Adviser to the Leadership Team were pleased to lend their support to the Radon Tee campaign, in addition to a group of delegates who attended the radon seminar.

US non-profit organisation, CanSAR (Cancer Survivors Against Radon) is dedicated to preventing radon-induced lung cancer and saving lives through education and awareness, and is sponsoring the Radon Tee World Trek 2010. The campaign aims to bring social awareness to communities through the power of photos, videos and personal stories.
