The Divorced & Dating Chick's Thankgiving List

The hot thing this year for Thanksgiving seems to be the 26 days of being thanksful. All my married friends are doing cute stuff like being thankful for their kids' goal at the soccer game. Mine's a bit more twisted. I am thankful for:

1. My kids, more now that I've had to fight for them.
2. Grandparents as babysitters you don't have to pay and who actually love my children.
3. A glass of wine at the end of the day.
4. Strong coffee the next morning.
5. Fast food the kids like.
6. Maids
7. Lawn guys.
8. Internet grocery shopping.
9. The Ex's turn to take the kids on a Saturday night.
10. Buying date dresses again.
11. Date night!
12. Internet background checks.
13. Victoria's Secret one-size-fits-all underwear (really).
14. Fire & Ice condoms.
15. Flowers delivered.
16. Arrival of the child support check.
17. My kids running into my arms at the end of the weekend (they missed me!)
18. My Ex choosing a girlfriend who is nice to my kids.
19. Not spending the holidays with the in-laws ever again!
20. Romantic texts during the workday
21. Talking dirty on the phone after the kids have gone to bed.
22. Not having to share the remote control.
23. Eating cereal for dinner if I feel like it.
24. Not having to pick up smelly socks from my bedroom floor.
25. My kids scoring a goal in soccer.
26. The hot single dad who coached him.
