This is where we start to get down to the really good stuff. While I won't be able to begin to cover all traffic building strategies in detail, we are going to cover the dependable and proven ones. In some cases these methods are little used or understood and thus better for your purposes. Some are free, some are not, but we will focus on those that work for article marketing and your VRE (Virtual Real Estate) platform.

As an introduction and quick overview of what we will be covering, I will present some of the ideas for building traffic to your website or blog. Then I will go into a bit more detail about a few of them, specifically when referring to article marketing.

•Search Engines - Think of search engine traffic as free traffic. When someone types in a search term (keyword) and your name comes up, it is free and probably the best method there is. You have many choices here beginning with Google AdWords, Bing and Yahoo Search. These are all well known and effective PPC (pay per click) networks. You pay every time someone clicks on your ad.
•Paid Advertising - Similar in nature to PPC, but is usually based on a one-time payment instead of paying per click.
You may be familiar with these strategies already and if so, that is good. This will allow you to see how to apply these more directly to your VRE info product business. You must master these traffic building strategies if you want your VRE sites to become an empire and not merely a side show. On-page relevance is basic and straight forward in nature. if you ask for dog training and your site features dog food, your site will not be particularly relevant and will lose ranking.
Off-page relevance is even more valuable than on-page factors. Getting links to your website is what off-page relevance is all about. Not all links are created and valued equally, either. Your site will be in a better position to rank well in your niche if you get your links from sites that are highly ranked themselves.

It is tough to get high search engine rankings in competitive niches. You may have to get thousands of better profile links in the most competitive niches and be more relevant in order to rank higher than your competition. While it is probably easier to rank in Yahoo and Bing, it still will take a lot of time and effort to do so.

So here is another "secret", search for niches when you can get started that are both profitable AND have lower competition. Why fight it out in heavy competition when there are plenty of low competition, profitable niches available? You won't have to worry about massive competition getting thousands of links and you can more easily come to dominate that niche.
All you have to do is consistently and continuously build links at a steady rate. After a few months your website will see a steady and increasing flow of building traffic from these methods.
