Team TAG participates in 26th Annual AIDS Walk

Oct. 29, 2010 - PRLog -- Team TAG (www.teamtag.org) assembled a team to support and contribute to the 26th Annual AIDS Walk in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 17th, 2010.

Team Leader - Declan O'Donnell organized a team to participate in this important charity because it's a great cause and a great way to raise awareness about AIDS (and get some exercise).  Declan rallied a 12 person team together, and everyone finished the 10k easily.  The event raised $2.8 million, and Team TAG participants felt moved by some of the people they met and some of the statistics presented.  After raising $275 as a team, Declan O'Donnell stated, "A quick look at some of the statistics can really make you feel good about helping to raise money and awareness.  I learned that there are 55,000 cases of aids in Los Angeles County alone, and 33,000 deaths since 08 in LA County. There are over a million people affected by the disease nationwide and there is no cure. Hopefully with enough funding for research and support programs we can find a cure within our lifetime. I'm looking forward to getting involved in 2011 I'd like to walk with a bigger group next year and raise a lot more money!"
