Damon Carter-Brown has developed a time travel machine for an American research foundation. While away in Washington discussing funding for the project’s development, his wife is raped and murdered by Tibor Varkas, a research scientist who has escaped from jail, where he was serving time for fraud against Damon’s foundation. Varkas discovers that while he was in jail, Damon had made a breakthrough on his invention. Realizing that his best chance to evade capture is to use the untried time machine, he projects himself forward in time. Following closely behind Varkas, the time travelers find themselves catapulted into a post-apocalyptic nightmare peopled by vicious Sunsail pirates, Rastafarian Bob Marley worshipers, Chief Electricians and mutants.
