"Death on Pause (Based on Actual Events: 2006-2007): The Troy Machalek Diaries"
Kidnapping, Murder, and Suicide Take the Spotlight in This Fact-Based Novel
About the Book
Spanning the world from America to Asia, as it weaves different cultures and criminal activities into a taut crime thriller, Death on Pause is based on a real woman’s living nightmare, and the events that have since dominated her once enviable life.
When Taiwanese model Kaelyn Yen is drugged and held captive by the head of one of America’s top modelling agencies, she realises that the recent deaths in her family were not accidents, but meticulously planned murders carried out by her Triad-affiliated relatives. Kaelyn's boyfriend joins with the FBI to rescue Kaelyn and bring her extortionists to justice, but not all schemes go according to plan. Resultantly, Kaelyn’s plight escalates into an international pursuit through Los Angeles, San Francisco, Taipei, and Hong Kong. It leads to the torture and murder of Kaelyn’s two best friends, and causes the FBI’s key witness to commit suicide before she can give evidence in court.
Death on Pause: The Troy Machalek Diaries is a riveting crime thriller that will captivate and shock until the last spine-chilling page.
