3DS is the terminator of DS and DSi?

Oct. 12, 2010 - PRLog -- Nintendo DS sales meet a decline last week, allowing the PSP to overtake the DSi as this week's top selling platform on the Japanese hardware sales charts, reports tracking firm Media Create. what cause the decline of DS and DSi sales?  Somebody consider 3DS.  So, Is 3DS the terminator of DS and DSi?

For the week ended October 3, the DSi sold 24,937 units, a roughly 50 percent decline from last week, and sales of other versions of the Nintendo DS declined as well.

PSP sales remained consistent from last week, leaving the platform on top of the charts as DS sales decreased.

The slowing Nintendo DS sales correlate with the steady decline in Pokemon Black/White sales. While the game still tops the software sales charts, it has sold less and less each week since its successful launch.

Sales of other platforms remained constant, leaving the overall hardware sales rankings largely unchanged.

What cause the decline of DSi sales? Somebody claims, DSi is effected by fake games, but the president of Nintendo said, the decline of DSi sales has nothing to do with fake games. Does DSi loss attraction for players? Or anyother reasons?

Maybe, 3DS is the causer of DSi Sales Decline. As 3DS was too hot since August, it blows a strong wind between Nintendo fans. It is advertised and announced very hot in internet, that conver other affairs. Players pay too much attention to the new revolution of 3DS games. Too much aspiration and too much waitting. They even ignore DSi, or may lost interesting in it.  As 3DS will release few months later, people who intend to buy a DSi before may give up the opinion. They prefer to buy a 3DS hostmachine few months later.  Before, 3DS was guessed to release in the end of 2010, now the release is delay to next year. Many fans may feel very disappointed.

If Nintendo 3DS is the real causer of DSi sales decline, it is just a beginning. The situation of DSi will be worse in the following months. DSi hostmachine will wither away in the game market slowly. Who believe 3DS is the terminator of DSi and DS?
