College of Textiles on NC State's Centennial Campus To Open Textile Management Science Laboratory

NC State's College of Textiles is opening a state-of-the-art Textile Management Science Laboratory that will provide students and faculty with a global connectivity to learn and conduct research in a business environment.

Sept. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- North Carolina State University's College of Textiles is opening a state-of-the-art Textile Management Science Laboratory that will provide students and faculty with a global connectivity to learn and conduct research in a business environment and facilitate collaboration and idea exchange with private industry and government agencies.

The College of Textiles is located on Centennial Campus, NC State's research park and technology campus.

The objective of the new lab is to be the authority on textile market competitiveness for industry, government and academia. The lab will also reinforce the College of Textiles' outreach and collaboration with the textile industry.

The Textile Management Science Laboratory will offer computer software, databases and business tools and will advance knowledge in areas of the textile industry such as consumer awareness, trend analysis, branding, marketing, merchandising, retail, technology road-mapping, forecasting and supply chain management.

The lab will be officially dedicated on September 30.
