Advanced Microscope Ring Light from Aven Has 72 LEDs and Zone Controls

Sept. 21, 2010 - PRLog -- A new high-intensity microscope ring light features 72 LED lights and adjustable illumination for any specimen or application. All electronics are part of the compact, self-contained design from Aven, Inc.

    Several features make this MC90/50 model practical for medical labs, scientific research, electronics design and manufacturing, and machine vision purposes:
•   Light intensity exceeds 70,000 lux and can be controlled continuously, without step controls.
•   Four zone control buttons regulate illumination by quadrants.
•   A high-resolution dimmer assures uniformity and stability at any setting.      

    Moreover, the six dozen white LEDs don't flicker or emit heat, in contrast to fluorescent and halogen ring lights.

    Applications include fabrication of semiconductors and thin-film transistors (TFT), document examination and other forensic studies, health care lab work, materials analysis or any scientific microscopy.  

    The MC90/50, which has a 40-millimeter inner ring and 70-millimeter outer ring, mounts below any Aven microscope lens and on virtually all other brands. Its working distance is 50 to 160 millimeters. The long-lasting LEDs are rated to work for 10,000 to 30,000 hours.

    The six-watt, plug-in ring light complies with CE and RoHS standards for European Community use.
