Follow on Google News | APS to Host an Exhibit at AWHONN 2010 Annual ConventionAPS will host a booth at the AWHONN 2010 Annual Convention to demonstrate its innovative and interactive online perinatal safety curriculum, which addresses the high risk areas of obstetrics.
APS will host an exhibit at booth 424 to showcase APS’s online perinatal safety curriculum. The innovative curriculum, consistent with the national standards for perinatal care proposed by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) and supported by AWHONN, focuses on clinically rich, interactive, team-oriented training and addresses many of the main drivers of obstetrical claims and adverse outcomes. Introduction to Electronic Fetal Monitoring, a primary course in the curriculum that was designed to foster a common language for obstetric caregivers and to standardize fetal heart rate tracing interpretation, was developed in partnership with and is accredited by AWHONN. Additional courses in APS’s Perinatal Safety Curriculum include Advanced Fetal Assessment and Monitoring, Managing Shoulder Dystocia, Operative Vaginal Delivery, and Postpartum Hemorrhage, as well as a monthly Competency Maintenance series designed to reinforce clinicians’ understanding of key concepts from the core training. “APS is delighted to be attending the AWHONN Annual Convention for its 5th year in a row,” stated Dr. Martin November, APS Chief Medical Officer. At the APS booth, Dr. November will demonstrate APS courses and field questions from attendees. “Our goal is to demonstrate how we can empower these nurses with cutting edge knowledge that enables them to deliver the highest quality and safest care possible.” For more information about APS, visit http://www.aps- # # # Advanced Practice Strategies, Inc.
