Menoosha is nominated at the MMA's 2010

Sept. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Singer Menoosha is competing for the "Best African Artist" Award, with her Electro-Afro-Funk club track "Chamukuana" from the album "Satellite Brown Chick".

Singer comments: "The idea for the song came from a show I did at an African-Caribbean nightclub in Germany, and the party was called Chamukuana. Kaysha and Dj Sweet were invited too, and I have very fond memories of that show. But what the word Chamukuana evokes to me is definitely partying African style. Urban, energetic, classic, young and African. I hope the song makes people feel that way. It's great that I'm nominated, that will help bring more exposure to the work we've done so far!"

Other nominated artists are Nigerian Hip Hop superstar duo P-Square and Sierra Leone's male singer Famous. Winners will be announced on the 10th of December 2010 on www.mtv.co.uk
