Singer Menoosha released 'Touching my hair', the first single to her upcoming album 'Airs about hair', and did an exclusive live performance of the song at the Jungbusch Sessions with Eden Noel on keys, Maurice London on drums and Julian Knoll on bass guitar.
The 'Airs about Hair' album is due for release in November 2019.
The song describes a high level of intimacy in a couple expressed
through the touch of hair. The music was produced by Dar'rell Banks while lyrics and melody were penned by Menoosha.
The Jungbusch Sessions are a live performance concept created by singer, pianist and graphic designer Eden Noel to showcase artistic talents in and around Mannheim. The concept owes its name to the neighbourhood in Mannheim in which all live and studio recordings are done: Jungbusch.
Menoosha is a singer & songwriter hailing from Cameroon (Central Africa) and based in France and Germany. Her style blends Soul, R&B, Jazz and Afrobeat. She was nominated for a BEFFTA Award in London as 'Best International Act' in 2011. She had the pleasure of opening for Stevie Wonder and Kool & the Gang as a child in a choir (les Oiseaux du Monde), Myriam Makeba with Mr Mutschoko, Lou Bega with the Cuban group Labana and for the Afrobeat star Kaysha.
Her first album 'Satellite Brown Chick' is a true crossover project that allowed her to demonstrate versatility. With a mix of Funk, Rock, Electro, Soul and African elements, she still managed to stay authentic. Her RnB single 'Talk to Me' (Sweet Thing)' peaked at #14 in the UK's Top 30 UK Soul Charts.
