Silverberry, who grew up in Marin County, discusses the influence growing up in the Bay Area had on his writing. Silverberry's debut novel, Wyndano's Cloak, has won six awards, including the gold medal from the 2010 Readers Favorite Awards, in the preteen category.

The interview was posted in advance of Silverberry's appearances at Borders Books in Marin and Santa Cruz. The events are part of Silverberry's charitable fundraising book tour.
