Books are judged on editorial and design quality and the ability to inspire, mentor and educate our audience. Awards are presented for the best books in several categories and many more receive the Young Voices FoundationTM Seal of Approval for Family Friendly Products.” "Early childhood and math education are important causes to us here at Trend POV so this is a thrill and lots of fun," said Dr. Vanderbilt. "The Young Voices Foundation provides a much-needed spotlight on literature for younger readers and I'm proud to be able to contribute to the recognition of some truly great work." Dr. Vanderbilt, along with her daughter Sabrina, were Gold award winners in 2009 for their board book "Negative Nine" which introduces the concept of negative numbers in a fun and lasting way. The Foundation reviews children's book for all ages and, in particular, highlights young writers by promoting their work and mentoring their skill development. The awards are a way to highlight those books that can make a difference in a child's life.
