Aug. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Not only has The Trend POV Show recently aired its milestone 100th episode, it has now celebrated its second anniversary with a special broadcast.  The reality-style episode follows Dr. Amy Vanderbilt as she ascends into biker-chick status! Starting from her first ride, through training classes and all the way to the dealership where she interviews Harley-Davidson executives, this unique episode discovers what really makes the Harley so special. Dr. V. knew that last year’s anniversary special would be hard to match and thought that there would be no better way to celebrate than with one of the most represented brands in the world. “I wanted to really understand how Harley-Davidson has built this brand loyalty and the best way to do that was to experience it for myself,” said Dr. V.

Harley-Davidson is a company that is so well known in American history, it’s practically an institution. The Harley-Davidson brand is somewhat iconic in America and has developed using interaction, branding and social networking of a different kind that was well ahead of its time. It all began in 1900 when four men experimented with internal combustion in a tiny shed in Milwaukee and miraculously created a motorcycle that subsequently ran for over 100,000 miles. The bikes were eventually entered in races and endurance contests. Records were continuously being broken. Harley-Davidson bikes were commissioned for use in both World Wars, so became symbolic for returning soldiers and those wishing to share some of the honor.

Dr. Amy Vanderbilt, Founder and Chief Strategist at Trend POV, noted that, "I have always had a thing for Harley-Davidson so learning to ride was a dream come true. This is probably the most I have done for a single episode but it was worth every minute!”  Dr. Vanderbilt added, “We used a reality style framework to let the audience take this journey with me.”
