Crumble heats up the Big Apple with its World Premiere

Aug. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- A hot summer night in Manhattan set the stage for the much anticipated Red Carpet World Premiere of equally steamy film "Crumble" at the Village East Cinema. Arriving in style and gracing the red carpet included the two hot lead actresses Oksana Lada best known for her role in "The Sopranos" and the up and coming "It" girl Alexandra Grossi. Other attendees included AVN Hall of Fame actress Brittany Andrews who had a cameo in "Crumble" and legendary filmmaker Abel Ferrara. The screening was sold out well in advance and even Writer/Director Renata Bialkowska gladly gave up her seat to stand in the back and catch audience reactions for her directorial debut.

"Crumble" was well received by critics and has already garnered major nominations for "Best Short Film" and "Best Director". Stated Bialkowska, “We knew this film had the potential to reach audiences from all walks of life and from the success of the premiere we're now planning on tapping into the market on a global scale". Producers David Karges, Michelle Barry of Discipline Filmworks and Executive Producer Martin Hampford were equally pleased with the turnout and positive reactions to a film that took over a year to complete.

"Crumble" also stars Steven Bauer who is best known for his role opposite Al Pacino in "Scarface". Although Bauer was not able to attend his publicist assured Bialkoswka he would be present at the Los Angeles premiere in November.

The Official Afterparty was held at the popular celebrity hangout The Gates in Manhattan's trendy Meatpacking District. The exclusive soiree featured plenty of free vodka and industry celebrities including Director Omar Samad (Law & Order: SVU), celebrity vocal coach Stacy Smith and actress Kathryn Bryding (Spiderman 3, Gossip Girl).

"Crumble" is one woman's journey through self-discovery and eventually out of the box that has imprisoned her for so many years.
