All Booked Up Hosting a Different Kind of Book Event

July 12, 2010 - PRLog -- All Booked Up is hosting a variety of local authors in July, including two exciting children's events and one adult event which takes the typical "book signing" to a new level.  


This month, our featured children's author, Jacqueline Ogburn and All Booked Up will show an independent movie based on an adaptation of her book, "The Bake Shop Ghost."  The event will include a 17 minute film short directed by Laurette Bayle.  The film stars Emmy award winning Kathryn Joosten and Oscar nominated actress Marianne Jean-Baptiste.  The event will include a reading and signing for her latest release "A Dignity of Dragons," released this spring.  Ms. Ogburn is a writer from Chapel Hill, NC.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6OrSYgs7VQ




Wake County teacher and author, John V. Wood will be hosting a game show style book signing  based on his first release: "The Weird, Wacky and Wild North Carolina Trivia."  The event is open to the public.  

Participants are encouraged to pre-purchase the book and study to win a "Date Night in Downtown."  Prizes include a dinner from the very popular Ocean Grill, located on Salem Street, in Apex, an exquisite cheesecake from Imagine Cheesecake and a  complimentary wine from a North Carolina Winery.    


Wake County teacher, mom and local author, Elizabeth Olsson will be reading her books:  “I am not Afraid,” and “Tiny Pink Houses” for our toddler+ readers on Monday, July 26th at 6PM.  The event will include a reading, signing (optional) and craft.

Local author of three children's books, Elizabeth Olsson is a mother of two children and a Wake County school teacher.  As an educator she is concerned with teaching children about the joy of reading and writing. Other than reading and writing Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family.
