Follow on Google News | Discover the Intuitive Spaces of Sylvie Provost in the French Perspective at Agora GalleryChelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature French artist, Sylvie Provost, in The French Perspective. The exhibition is scheduled to run from June 29, 2010 through July 20, 2010 (opening reception: Thursday, July 01, 2010).
By: Agora Gallery A hallmark of Provost’s work is the creation of unique spaces that are both emotive and atmospheric. Each canvas is painted in a textural manner, as the thickness of the paint confers movement onto the colors, forms, and images contained within. Colors are bold, vibrant, and dancing with light. All this works to create emotional elements embedded in the very way the paint is layered on the canvas — not just in the faces that peer out where you least expect them, but even in the most abstract arrangements of color and form. What results are paintings to which viewers can truly relate. Exhibition Dates: June 29, 2010 – July 20, 2010 Reception: Thursday, July 01, 2010, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Gallery Location: 530 West 25th St, New York City Gallery Hours: Tues – Sat, 11a.m. - 6 p.m. Event URL: http://www.agora- The French Perspective is an exhilarating survey of contemporary art from France.
