Y&R SA Wins Gold At 2010 Cannes Lions Awards

Thus far, this is the first gold awarded to a South African agency at Cannes this year

June 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Last night at the 57th Cannes Lions International Advertising Awards ceremony, Y&R South Africa was awarded its first Gold Lion in its 42-year history. The winning campaign is on behalf of Xbox ‘Need for speed’, which was entered into the outdoor category - one of the most competitive and saturated of all the categories.

So far, Y&R SA has six finalists across four categories including;
•   Land Rover ‘Everywhere URL’ - Press
•   UNICEF ‘Scary Nights’ – Press campaign
•   Xbox ‘Need for Speed’ - Outdoor
•   UNICEF ‘Toy Soldiers’ - Direct
